Description and condition
Walt Disney's Toby Tyler Coloring Book, 1959, Whitman.  Appx 128 images, all are captioned. There are many circus animals and performers, including elephants, monkeys, horses and dogs. Performers from a ringmaster to clowns, trapeze artists, a tattooed man, strong man, equestrian artists, and other workers at the circus.  I counted 64 images which have been totally or partially colored. It appears that the book may have been passed down from one child to the next, or that a young child started, and became proficient at coloring.  There are three styles of coloring. Most images are colored by crayon, most quite well done, and a few by a less able hand,  but a small number appear to have used water color unsuccessfully.
Condition I think is fair. The book seems intact ,though the cover has edge ware and a tear that extends from the bottom to nearly half way up the front, along the spine and the spine is separated from the pages near the bottom. I found only a couple pages actually torn in the book..none completely , but small  tears, with no image or actual page loss.  There is a water stain which affects the first 15 or so pages, but minimally, at the bottom and not significantly affecting the images.  Interior pages have some yellowing. The seem not to be too brittle.  The last 20 or so pages are beginning to separate from the spine.  Overall I would characterize the item in fair condition for a collector, and its value will be as a display piece, protected in a frame, or sealed in an archival bag.  The front and back covers are appealing and colorful  SOLD AS IS.
